Will mobile phones break the the language barriers one day?

If you are a mobile phone user its not rare to find yourself on one side of the conversation struggling to express or understand the other person because either of you cannot communicate the other language well. Imagine small time business people whom you cannot expect to know a common language like english, or places like India where there are severel languages. They will really have tough time to close the deals. Are the days far when this barrier will be broken?.

We are seeing language converters rampant, well I heard that at the UNO conferences the world leaders get to hear the speech given in some other language translated impromptu, when the other speakers speak in their own language. If that level of speech recognition and translation is implemented is that so tough for a mobile company to provide a language translation service as part of the normal service or is it that it does not really make good business sense? I donot know but I would like to see such things one day.
Foget about the telephone companies, Iam sure skype, msn messenger, google talk, yahoo talk etc...will be starting first on this.
